Natural, cruelty-free makeup, skin care, and body and products that I support.
My favourite shampoo and conditioner brand at the moment is North American Hemp Company, it is a Canadian company and it is available at winners in Canada. I found the products very effective, especially the conditioner.
As for Henna, my two favourite brands are Henne Color, and Colora henna Powder. Colora is accessible in Canada, and is available at almost any health food store, the best price so far has been at Healthy Planet. Henne Color is very pigmented and vibrant, but it is less accessible, as it is available only in France and the UK, however it is available on eBay.
Leave in conditioner has been a bit more difficult to find, however, Live Clean Argan leave in conditioner has been proven effective (for moderately frizzy, wavy hair to straight hair). Available at Shoppers drug Mart, Walmart, and well.ca.
I dont often purchase body butter, I normally make it myself (see Diy Body) but when I do purchase, my go to body butter and moisturizer brand is Lush ,for their Charity Pot moisturizer. Available at Lush.
Face: The ideal and “best skin care routine” according to dermatologists, is composed of these steps, face wash, toner, serum, and moisturizer.
For Face wash, I use Dr. Bronners unscented pure castile soap, combined with water and avocado oil (recipe under DIY -beauty, and skincare). Available at Healthy Planet, Well.ca, and The Big Carrot.
my Toner of choice is Thayers witch hazel toner which serves the purpose of removing what was not removed by face wash (you can also make your own). Available at Healthy Planet, Well.ca, and The Big Carrot.
My serum and moisturizer are the same brand, Avalon organics, labeled “intense defense, vitamin C renewal” . Available at Healthy Planet, Winners, well.ca and Walmart.
Nails: The two cruelty-free and three free nail polish brands are ADESSE NEW YORK, and LAW Beauty Essentials. Available online only at the moment.
My Deodorant of choice is Schmidt’s cream deodorant in the scent Lavender Sage. Available at Winners, well.ca and The Big Carrot.
My two favourite and most effective toothpaste brands are Jason
‘Power smile’ and Himalaya Botanique. Both available at Healthy Planet, well.ca, or The Big Carrot.
As for Soap I use The Soap Works soap in any one of their vegetable based scents, available at bulk barn, well.ca and Healthy Planet. (This is the most cost effective soap brand that I could find, with each bar at $1.99)
